Campo de São Francisco
It's a large square located 5min (walk) from the Royal Garden Hotel. Its name is due to the fact of being in front of the Church of St. Joseph, the former convent of San Francisco. It is limited by that church and the former Hospital of St. Joseph to the west, the convent of Our Lady of the North Hope, and the Forte de São Brás and the sea (promenade) to the south.

Feast of Senhor Santo Cristo dos Milagres venerate the image of Christ deposited in the Convent of Hope, in Ponta Delgada. The festival lasts three days around the fifth Sunday after Easter.
